ATTENTION ALL VOLUNTEER COACHES

Thank you for being willing to serve as a coach or assistant coach to the kids of the Manheim Soccer Club!  Without you, we would not have a club and kids would miss out on the fun, excitement, and life lessons of playing youth soccer.

To assure the safety of our kids, to comply with state law, and to follow our state soccer association requirements, coaches, assistant coaches, and those directly interacting with minors (child under the age of 18) must complete the 5 requirements listed below. (Please note that the steps for concussion and child abuse prevention trainings will be part of the step-by-step registration process.)

Please click here for to access the Registration System for Coaches. The steps in the wizard will allow you to access concussion and child abuse prevention trainings. These are also outlined individually below. When you have completed the Pennsylvania State Law Requirements the system will require the documents to be uploaded in a single file. If you need help or guidance please contact the Manheim Soccer Club for assistance.

GENERAL FAQS

Q1. Is there a cost for any of this?

  • There is no cost for the concussion course or for the EPYSA risk management application.  There is a $0 cost for the PA state criminal clearance, a $0 cost for the child abuse clearance, and a $27.50 cost if an FBI clearance is needed.
Q2. Who pays for the clearances?
  • You will need to initially pay the expense for the clearances but if you wish the Manheim Soccer Club will reimburse you once you turn in the clearances to us.
Q3. What if I did this already at church or at school?  Can I transfer the clearances?
  • Yes you may transfer the clearances if you completed them to volunteer at church, school, etc.  You will still need to provide a copy of each to the Manheim Soccer Club.  If you already have had the clearances completed for another role, the club will not reimburse you the expense.
Q4. Can I start coaching if I have some of the requirements done or have at least applied for them?  What if I don't do one of these requirements?
  • NO, all the requirements must be completed prior to starting to coach.  IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE ALL THE REQUIREMENTS, YOU CAN NOT COACH
