Volunteer Information

President:

Preside at all meetings, execute all documents of corporation, an ex-officio of all committees. The president shall have the powers and duties of management typically vested in the office of the president. Member of Executive Board.

Vice-President:

Act for and as the President in the latter’s absence. Member of Executive Board.

Secretary:

Keep the records and minutes of the meetings, give notices of the meetings, and keep a calendar of MSC events.Member of Executive Board.

Treasurer:

Have custody of all corporate funds and keep accurate records of all receipts and expenditures. Reports of all transactions shall be made to the board at each meeting. Prepare an annual budget for the club prior to each fiscal year.Member of Executive Board.

Referee Coordinator:

Schedule referees for games, see that all referees are paid for their services, establish methods of evaluation of referee performance, recommend fee schedules, develop referee training and licensing clinics, and notify referees of any game schedule changes. Member of Executive Board.

Auxiliary Chairperson:

Coordinates fund raising activities and events, staff pool of volunteers, select and coordinate club photographer. Member of Executive Board.

Auxiliary Co-Chair:

Coordinate concession stand staffing and volunteers, maintain inventory in stand, maintain accurate records of income and expenditures related to concession stand. Member of Executive Board.

Field Manager:

Assure that all fields are kept in playing shape and they are to be ready for games and practices. Member of Executive Board.

Registrar:

Sees that all participants in the MSC are properly registered and affiliated with the EPYSA, organizes all registration times, collects registration fees, and provides coordinators with player information for assignment to teams.

Equipment/Uniform Manager:

Order and distribute all equipment/team uniforms and any other apparel needed for the MSC or LANCO teams after approval of the Executive Board. This shall include medical kits and re-supplying them through the season, inventory equipment and see that it is properly stored in the off season. Order trophies for intramural tournament each spring.

Field Coordinator:

Responsible for the scheduling of fields for games, practice times, and tournaments.

Website Coordinator:

Update MSC website on a regular basis. Assist in the training for board members and coaches in use of website.

LANCO Coordinator:

Represent the MSC to the LANCO organization and refer all information to the MSC and LANCO coaches and teams. Sees that all LANCO teams are fielded and organized. Organize tryouts for LANCO teams each spring, and other times if needed. Report to the Executive Board each month with all information on clinics for coaches, players, referees, and tournament registration and participation.

LAGS Coordinator:

represent the MSC to the Lancaster Area Girls Soccer Organization and refer all information to the MSC and LAGS coaches and teams. Sees that all LAGS teams are fielded and organized. Report to the Executive Board each month with all information on clinics for coaches, players, referees and tournament registration and participation.

LBYSA Coordinator:

Represent the MSC to the Lancaster Boys Youth Soccer Association and refer all information the MSC and LBYSA coaches and teams. Sees that all LBYSA teams are fielded and organized. Report to the Executive Board each month with all information on clinics for coaches, players, referees, and tournament registration and participation.

Intramural Coordinator-U8:

Sees that all U8 teams are fielded and organized. Develop game schedule for U8 teams, communicate schedule to referee coordinator. Communicate t-shirt needs to uniform manager. Organize spring tournament in terms of setting game schedule, communicate trophy needs to equipment manager, and oversee play on that day. Report to the Executive Board each month with all information on clinics for coaches, players, and referees.

Intramural Coordinator-U6:

Sees that all U6 teams are fielded and organized. Develop game schedule for U6 teams, communicate schedule to referee coordinator. Communicate t-shirt needs to uniform manager. Organize spring tournament in terms of setting game schedule, communicate trophy needs to equipment manager, and oversee play on that day. Report to the Executive Board each month with all information on clinics for coaches, players, and referees

Other Volunteer Positions:

Concession Stand:

Work shift in concession stand either Saturday or Sunday.

Field Lining:

Line fields in preparation for weekend games. Usually needs to be done Friday or Saturday.

Coach:

Attend mandatory organizational meeting at beginning of season. Oversee team for weekly practice and games. Attend coaching clinics.

Assistant Coach:

Assist head coach during weekly practice and games. Assume leadership of team in head coaches absence. Attend coaching clinics.

Team Manager:

Assist head coach in organization and communication among team parents and players. Often involves organizing treat schedule, collecting fundraisers, distributing newsletters, etc.

Fundraising:

Assist Auxiliary Chairperson with the collection of fundraiser orders and monies, and assist in distribution of fundraiser items.
